They called time on their on and off eight year relationship in 2015.

And now Nicole Scherzinger, 38, has revealed she no longer talks to her former Formula 1 beau Lewis Hamilton, 31.

Appearing on Saturday night's Jonathan Ross Show, the X Factor judge admitted she 'sincerely' wishes the sports star 'happiness'.

She said: 'I don't see anything negative, I think it's quite natural when people separate and go their own ways and you just have to be adult about it and just always wish the other person happiness, success and love like sincerely and I do.'

When asked whether they still stay in touch, the Poison hitmaker - who first started seeing the race car driver in 2007 - was frank in her omission.

She added: 'Yeah we don't, like, talk. I think that he is the best driver since Ayrton Senna and I think that he's probably going to win this year and I only wish him happiness and success.

Since splitting last summer, the US beauty has been dating tennis player Grigor Dimitrov, 25, since July, while Lewis has been linked to a number of high-profile ladies including models Barbara Palvin and most recently, Winne Harlow.

The frank confession comes after Lewis shared a conflicting snap with Nicole's three young nieces - whose mother is Nicole’s younger sister Keala, 30 - earlier this week.

Taking to Instagram, the British sports star captioned the snap: 'My favourite lil ones. Been so much fun spending time with you!'

Meanwhile, the Poison singer opened up about how she's now managed to find a balance between work and her personal life.

She explained: 'I think I've probably matured a little later in relationships and living my life because I started at such a young age then being in a rock group then being in a pop group then being in [groups and bands].

'I was in my first group when I was 18 so I think I was always so focused on working so much so I didn’t have much time for relationships.

She continued: 'So I feel like I was just able to get to experience things a little later after work because as you get older, you find more balance in life.

'Relationships and most importantly a relationship with myself, if it’s not too cheesy to say, as women it goes with experience and age.

Before she concluded: 'This is who I am and this is what I love and I think it’s really important if you are in a relationship, no matter who you are, you have to be happy first and love yourself first and be whole before you can really give your everything in a relationship.'

Looking incredible in a daring leather mini dress, Nicole opened up about her time on the X Factor and revealed fellow judge Simon Cowell's two-year-old son Eric is exactly like him.

She laughed: 'I think he just cloned himself. He is just like Simon, he never listens to me.

'I'll say, "Eric give me a hug" and he walks away. I'll say "Do you want a cookie? Can I have a bite of your orange?" and he just ignores me. He goes to his dad all the time, he loves his dad.'

The music sensation appears on this week's show alongside comedian and actor, Stephen Merchant, singer-songwriter Shawn Mendes and TV chef Gino D’Acampo.
