The 29-year-old Kardashian stated his preference for a boy before learning he was having a girl with his 28-year-old fiancee.
'Rob, it's a girl!,' exclaimed Chyna who has a son King Cairo with ex fiance Tyga.
'I'm just happy the baby is healthy and I'm super happy I'm having a girl,' Rob said during a confessional on Rob & Chyna.
His famous family quickly took to social media to react to the show's big reveal.
Kim Kardashian, 35, tweeted: 'a girl!!!!!!!!!! how cute is she going to be!!!!!!!'
The family momager Kris Jenner, 60, posted pics of Rob and Chyna along a column reading 'It's a Girl!'.
'IT'S A GIRL! So happy for Rob and Chyna! Can't wait to welcome this new little love bug to the world,' she wrote in the caption.
Rob before learning the gender of his baby was shown hanging out with his sister Kourtney's ex-boyfriend Scott Disick.
He stated his preference for a boy to carry on the family name while also citing his strong bond with his late father Robert Kardashian.
Rob struggled to hide his initial disappointment when Dr. Katherine Bradley revealed they were having a girl.
'Oh, that's crazy,' he said after Chyna exclained they were having a girl.
'You have a boy at home, right?,' the doctor asked them in reference to three-year-old King.
'Yeah, but I don't,' Rob said glumly.
'That's OK, this is your first,' the doctor reassured him.
Rob then was shown reflecting on the announcement.
'It's an emotional moment. Me wanting to have a boy, it definitely stems from my dad but I'm sure I'll have the same relationship that I had with my father with my daughter,' he said.
